To continuously enhance the academic proficiency and innovative capabilities of its graduate students, and to foster an open, stimulating environment for learning exchange and a proactive academic atmosphere, the School of Mechanical Engineering held the "Reflect Deeply, Act Decisively" Master's and Doctoral Academic Innovation Forum on the afternoon of May 20. The forum took place in Room 12-209, West Campus, Binhai location. The event featured three doctoral candidates—Liu Qianqian, Qu Jiqiang, and Zhao Hongqian—as invited speakers for academic exchange.
Liu Qianqian presented her research on laser strengthening techniques for thin-walled components. Her work addresses a significant gap in domestic research on strengthening such components. She conducted a comparative study analyzing the surface integrity and fatigue performance of thin sheets treated with single-sided versus double-sided laser shock peening.

Qu Jiqiang's research focuses on multi-modal perception-driven intelligent robotic assembly technology. His work addresses the challenge of data imbalance in multi-modal datasets within dynamic and complex environments. This research on intelligent assembly technology provides a viable technical pathway for the field.

Zhao Hongqian's research primarily focuses on pedestrian-vehicle collision injury mechanisms and predictive modeling using digital pedestrian models based on Chinese anthropometrics. His work contributes to the optimization of safety assessment systems and provides critical references for future virtual evaluation frameworks for pedestrian collision safety.

The successful conclusion of this Master's and Doctoral Forum has established a vital platform for intellectual exchange and academic advancement among graduate students. Moving forward, guided by the "Pioneer Plan," the School will continue to deepen its mechanisms for academic exchange, encouraging graduate students to scale new heights in scientific research. With determined initiative, they will explore new frontiers in scholarship, injecting a continuous stream of youthful dynamism into technological innovation within the industry and the development of the discipline.
