On December 28th, the second meeting of the third Academic Committee of the Tianjin Key Laboratory of Integrated Design and Online Monitoring for Light Industry and Food Engineering Machinery and Equipment was held at the Hexi Campus. Professor Zhang Hongchao from Dalian University of Technology, Director of the Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory, attended the meeting. Other attendees included Professor Li Peigen, Member of the Academic Committee, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor from Huazhong University of Science and Technology; Professor Wang Yuesheng from Tianjin University; Professor Guo Shijie from Hebei University of Technology; Yu Ya, former Vice President of CIMC Group; Wang Xin, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of China National Light Industry Machinery Association; and Lu Fuping, Deputy Party Secretary and President of our university. Responsible persons and teacher representatives from the University's Science and Technology Department, School of Mechanical Engineering and the Key Laboratory also participated in the meeting. The meeting was hosted by the responsible comrade of the Science and Technology Department and Professor Zhang Hongchao respectively.

Lu Fuping delivered a speech on behalf of the university. He introduced the university's campus layout adjustment and the implementation of the "Pioneer Plan" this year, thanked the experts for their long-term help and support to the Key Laboratory, hoped that all committee members would put forward valuable opinions and suggestions, and wished the meeting a complete success.

Professor Zhang Junxia, Director of the Key Laboratory, gave an annual work summary report. She introduced the work carried out and achievements made by the Key Laboratory in 2024 from aspects such as the laboratory's research directions, team building, talent team construction, research progress and academic exchanges. Two young academic backbones of the Key Laboratory, Teachers Wang Yan and Zhang Peng, delivered special academic reports respectively.

At the meeting, the academic committee members held enthusiastic discussions around the work report and special academic reports of the Key Laboratory. Everyone agreed that the Key Laboratory has distinct characteristics, remarkable achievements and obvious progress in academic research and serving enterprises. Meanwhile, the academic committee members also put forward guiding opinions on the next development of the Key Laboratory. They hoped that the laboratory would further focus on and refine characteristic directions in response to the strategic needs of national and industrial development, strengthen docking with leading enterprises, and promote the laboratory's construction to a higher level through continuous institutional and mechanism innovation.
