Industry-University-Research Special Group of Mechanical Eng School joined 2025 Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei High-end Equip Ind Coop Dev Conf

On March 6, 2025, the 21st Tianjin Industry Expo opened at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin). Coinciding with the expo, the "2025 Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei High-end Equipment Industry Collaborative Development Conference" hosted by the Tianjin Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment Industry Association washeld.Entrusted by Dean Li Wenhui, the Industry-University-Research Special Group of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Tianjin University of Science and Technology, participated in the conference in full and conducted research and exchanges focusing on topics such as the collaborative development of the high-end equipment industry and digital transformation, injecting new momentum into the connection between the college's discipline construction and regional industrial needs.

Conference Focus: Intelligence, Digitalization, and Greenization of Equipment. The conference themed "Intelligence-Driven, Innovation-Led". At the opening ceremony, leaders and experts from governments, enterprises, universities and other sectors delivered wonderful reports on the topic of "the Development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei High-end Equipment Industry", discussing the development directions such as digitalization, intelligence and greenization of equipment. The special group also focused on participating in the thematic forum on "the Collaborative Development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei High-end Equipment Industry", and jointly explored the paths of regional collaborative innovation with industry experts. Experts pointed out that the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region should rely on its solid industrial foundation, strengthen the collaborative cooperation of the industrial chain, and promote the upgrading of the high-end equipment manufacturing industry towards digitalization and intelligence.

College's Actions: Understanding Industry Frontiers and Precisely Aligning with Enterprise Needs. Guided by the "Thousand Teams Visiting Thousand Enterprises" campaign, the special group of the School of Mechanical Engineering took advantage of this exhibition to conduct in-depth visits to participating enterprises. It investigated the technical pain points of manufacturing enterprises in fields such as precision machining and intelligent equipment, and explored solutions with enterprises based on the college's scientific research advantages. For example, in response to enterprises' needs for intelligent transformation, the group demonstrated the college's scientific research achievements in areas like industrial robot control algorithms and digital factory design, and reached preliminary cooperation intentions with multiple enterprises.

In the future, the School of Mechanical Engineering will regularly organize teachers and students to participate in frontline industrial research. It will provide "mechanical momentum" for the high-end equipment industry in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and at the same time promote the integration of university-enterprise resources to support the university's construction into a high-level research-oriented university.
